Ok, so now what?
Well, the question first has to be, are you ready to start learning how to build an online business and then start building it? If the answer is yes but you need some assurances that you won't lose your shirt or start something that is unattainable, then you are thinking the way you need to be thinking.
You have to protect yourself from online scams, period. And there's a lot of them out there. Consequently, we have all heard the stories of people getting scammed online for various amounts of money.
So for me, it's easy to explain the Wealthy Affiliate opportunity because I was right where you are today back in 2017. I was very leery about online opportunities that promised the world, and rightfully so. You don't know me so take this with a grain of salt but I'll say it anyway. Wealthy Affiliate is one of the top legitimate online opportunities for building an online business. I'll explain why and give you a checklist that you should follow when evaluating anything online.
Checklist for evaluating online opportunities
- How long have they been in business? (Recommended 5+ years)
- Read reviews
- Read testimonials
- Explore opportunities that offer a free trial (no credit card)
Considering the above checklist, I would recommend staying away from any online opportunity that does not offer a free trial or they offer a free trial but want your credit card information to start the free trial.
